What Do You REALLY Know?

Yesterday, in case you did not catch it, the writing I left off with was incredible foolishness.  Yet we recognized the character being described.  We have at times, probably, played that character role.  I earnestly pray that we mature to the point of realizing when we need to choose another part to personify. I pray that we SEARCH for the truth, really really want the truth

With that in mind, maturing that is, what defines the separation between our emotional choices of desirable verses not desirable?  How do we discern pleasure from pain?  We have been taught trained and now tout so many mixed messages of "good" things.  No doubt, we DO doubt the reliability of our receptors toward accuracy. (more on this later)

For those of you who believe we were created in the image of God: in His likeness, male and female, do you believe that He then is relatable to our likeness in many ways?  For instance:

We have a spirit and a soul ~ does God?
We take pleasure or emotionally feel pleasure ~ does God?

Without knowing these things, how CAN we know what we believe?  Our beliefs will contradict each other, we will not know who we are, what we look like, what defines us.  No doubt our character is seen to be as the incredible fool.  If we lean on our own understanding, the tiny bits of truth that we can fit into a picture; then the only definition of God we have is of our own assumptions.  We then are limiting who we are capable of maturing into based on our small picture.

So let us press together one unified point from which all things can expand out from okay?  We cannot define God; but He does give us His exhaustive definition.  Then He gives us a life time to acknowledge, understand and experience these ideals.  When this life is over, we will see the real deal and not the small pictures posted to use for reference and confirmation of its existence.

To answer the questions above - which are part of your discovery as we sojourn throughout the Passionately Series, I won't give you my small pictures or answers.  But I will give you part of God's definition:
No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists AND that He rewards those who seek HIM. ~ Hebrews 11:6 (GWT)
For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will  come, and He will not delay. But My righteous one shall live by faith ~ and IF he shrinks back My Soul has No Pleasure in him. ~Hebrews 10:37-39 (NAS)
God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth ~John 4:23-24

I know this is getting a bit lengthy, but I cannot release this fine wine before it's time =D ~ to concisely close I will use Paul’s words NOT my own.

And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling.  And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit of Power, that your faith should not REST on the wisdom of men but on the power of God.
Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden...which God predestined before the ages to our glory!  Which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written:
"Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and have not entered the heart of man: all that God has prepared for those who LOVE Him"
For to us God revealed through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.  For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?  Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God!
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual with spiritual.
So today, define your spirit.  Ask your soul:

· "Soul, am I a mere natural man limited to only what I believe to be true?"
· "Soul, don't you have a spirit which can understand and appraise foolishness to discern the value?"
For Who Has Known the Mind of the Lord, that He Should Instruct Him?  But WE HAVE the Mind of CHRIST!

For the Love of God, BE pleased with the gift of THIS DAY,
Kisses,
Candace
